17 students from The Christian Brothers Grammar School, Omagh were recently awarded the Pope John Paul II Award at a ceremony in the Millennium Forum, Derry. This award encourages young people to become actively involved in the life of their parish and local community. On completion of the award the students were awarded the Papal, Gold and Silver awards by Bishop Seamus Hegarty and The Very Reverend Edmund Power OSB. The recipients were: Gregory Muuray, Cathal Harkin, Thomas Canavan, Ryan Lynch, Keelan Mc Kernan, Daniel Mc Elhatton, Peter Keenan, Conor Flanagan, Niall Peoples, Ryan O’ Neill Turlough Gallagher, Dermot Mc Cullagh, Brendan Haughey, Eoin Meyler and Niall Sludden, Caolan Mc Laughlin, Dylan Mc Laughlin (missing from photo).
